Baby Castillo #3 is a . . .

We had a party last week to announce the gender of baby Castillo #3. We took the kids with us to the appointment so they could see the baby, which they weren't really interested in after we got there. Easton kept saying "when do we get to see the baby?" while the baby was on the screen. (Atleast the tech thought it was cute.) Averie was totally unimpressed and Landon spent most of the time wrestling her and trying her to keep away from any equiptment too expensive.

I, on the other hand, was totally in heaven. The tech said that the first part of the ultrasound is just boring, but I was glued to the screen the entire time. I just loved seeing my baby! It was awesome and of course he/she is already such a cute baby! We had the tech just type the gender since neither of the kids is exactly a vault for important information!

We invited everyone over for the big reveal and asked them to dress according to what they thought the baby was.

Team Baby Girl

Team Baby Boy

We had to be Switzerland since we already knew.

In all the excitement of the night, I forgot to take a picture of the cupcakes, which were frosted with yellow frosting (and were pretty darn cute, might I add). It was such a fun night and a great way to share the news.
We're very excited to announce that the winning team is . . . .

Team Blue! IT'S A BOY!

Easton's big day!

Easton had his first day of Kindergarten on Wednesday. I can't believe how fast time flies. It really seems like just last week that he was learning how to walk and talk. Now, he's a big Kindergartner and he LOVES it!!

The "official" first day of school picture
My Mom always took a picture of us by our front door on the first day of school. It didn't seem like an official first day until I took this picture.

Averie was definitely trying to get on the action. She's always doing just what big brother does.
We were so lucky to get to have Daddy walk with us to school on the first day. When I picked Easton up after school (it was just Averie and I), the first thing he said to me was "where's Daddy." He sure loves spending time with him.

It's go time!
Look at that face! How could I not be excited for him! It was really weird seeing him walking into those doors and I sure was happy to give him a hug when that first day was done. Time is going by way too fast!!
