Army Perk!

The day after Daddy’s birthday, we got to go stay at the Galt House in Louisville for an Army marriage retreat. (Great Army perk!) It was a great stay-cation for our little family. While Landon and I went to our classes, the kids got to play in the kids’ room. The Army provided everything; childcare, hotel accommodations, meals. Sounds like the ideal stay right? Yeah, it was pretty much awesome!
This was totally a "Daddy approved" activity. Shocker, huh?

LOVE this pic and these adorable kids!!

Boston couldn't get enough of the phone.
So happy to be there she was dancing!
Looking at the "big city."

Friday Family Movie Night

We’ve started some fun family traditions since we moved to Kentucky. In Utah, many weekend nights would find our little family at either grandparents’ house, but now that we’re “big kids” and live on the other side of the country, it’s our job to make the weekends fun for our kids. We love to have family movie night on Friday night. Daddy moves the couch around and we all snuggle up and have a treat and watch a good movie.

Happy 2nd Birthday Boston!

I can hardly believe that my baby boy is 2 years old. It seems like just a little while that I was holding this cute baby boy in my arms. I can't even describe what a spark this little guy brings into our family! Boston is really starting to come into his own and what a cute personality he has. Here are a couple of the things that I love about him.
  • how he half skip/half runs everywhere he's going.
  • that he runs and yells "momma" or "dadda" when either of us walk in the front door.
  • he loves to give Averie and Easton (and mommy and Daddy) kisses and hugs.
  • the way he says bye and waves his cute, chubby little hand. He says bye like a total southerner. It's a mix between bye and bah. So darling!
  • how obsessed he is with cars("cah-cah") and books ("bee." His first favorite book was a Cars book and it ended with the words beep-beep. Now he calls any book a bee.)
  • how he crawls onto your lap while you're sitting at the table working on the computer.
  • what a great snuggler he is. Averie is in afternoon pres-school, so it's just Boston and I in the afternoons. When he moved into a big boy bed, I would lay down with him to get him to stay in bed. Now he stays in bed fine, but he's such a good little snuggler that I usually stay in bed with him and end up having a little nap of my own. Those moments are the BEST!
  • how he pulls on my hand and says "mon" when he wants me to come with him or brings me my robe in the morning when he wants me to get out of bed. (*gasp* Yes, sometimes I get out of bed after my kids.)
Being the totally together and awesome Mom that I am, this is the only picture I got of his birthday. Guess it's safe to say that I've gotten used to the Grandma's taking pictures.
Happy Birthday big boy!
We love you sooo much!!
