Easton in the lime light!

Easton got a math facts award at school. The students had to complete 40 addition facts in 2 minutes and Easton got 39 right. Not only did he achieve the highest level, he was chosen out of all the kids in his class to represent them in front of all the other 2nd graders and their families by giving a small speech. I'm not sure which he was more excited about. The math award or the fact that he was his class's representative. In the picture in the center, he's holding his certificate in one hand and the speech he gave in his other. He did a great job and we were so proud of him!

Go Mountaineers!!

Easton played basketball for his first time this year and had a blast! We all loved going to his games and cheering him on. (Even Averie got in on the fun. She wore her cheerleading outfit to any game she could and the cheerleaders were sweet enough to let her cheer right along side them.)Easton really did great job and became a good little player. He's already looking forward to playing next year.

Finally some park time!

We had a little break in the weather at the beginning of February and took full advantage of it by going to the park. We were so lucky to have Daddy home from work to go with us. We had an awesome time!

Daddy and his 3 shadows.

We happened to be at the part at 5:00 and that's when you hear the song "Retreat" and "To the Colors" and you are supposed to stand at the position of attention and face the flag (or the direction the music is coming from if the flag is not visible). When the music is done, you just go on with your normal activities. It's actually pretty awesome when you're in the parking lot of the grocery store on post and everyone stops what they're doing when they hear the bugle call.
