Little Moments

I will be the first to admit that “Mommy life” can sometimes be monotonous and frustrating. I can honestly say, however, there is nothing in this world that I would rather do and be than a Mommy. I realized this week how much I need to cherish the little moments we have together.
I worked as a poll worker for the primary elections on Tuesday (voter turnout was ridiculous by the way . . that’s for another post, I guess) and was away from my sweet boy all day. I knew I’d miss him, but I can’t even tell you how much I missed being with him to eat breakfast, read stories, take a nap and a million other little things. He really is the light of my life and I’m thankful to realize just how much I love being a Mommy. I can’t imagine loving another child the way I love him. Just as all Mommies say, though, another part of your heart is created when another child is born.

P.S. I don't know how to add a caption to this picture, so I'll just tell you this way. We have gotten this kid more toys than I care to count. Yet he still insists on using my bath robe tie as his belt and Landon's screw driver as his sword. He's as happy as a clam if he's got those two things. Go figure!
