My mom and sister and I all participated in the Wasatch Women, Love Your Body 10k in Salt Lake. It was sponsored by SPEAK (Students Promoting Eating disorder Awareness and Knowledge). Before the race, the MC asked how many people had been affected by eating disorders, either personally or by someone they knew, and about 80% of the people raised their hands. I realized that eating disorders aren’t just a teenage thing. In fact, two of the women that they mentioned who died from an eating disorder were both 34 when they passed away.It was a great program to support. After just having a baby, I don’t exactly love my body, (I’m sure that most moms can relate) but I know it's good to always keep things in perspective and just be healthy and active.
We all did great and it was way fun. I know, I just called running fun, but it really was. It made me really excited for the triathlon Landon and I have decided to do next year. We have some family members that are going to do it with us (or rather, we're going to do it with them). After all, what's the point of suffering errr I mean training by yourself??!

You did awesome for not being at the gym since Averie was born. It almost makes me not like you.
Mom, relax I said "ALMOST"
How fun. And what a good experience. I think running is fun once you are done and accomplish something. Everytime I think to train for a marathon I get pregnant. I guess by the time I feel that I could be ready, really I am ready to get pregnant. But I love how I feel when I work out.
I did a 5k once, I only beat children and old ladies.. that sure boosts your self esteem!
Next year I can't wait to be there next to ya. Suckin air and all LOL
