A much needed random blog post

The randomness that was my day:
• Finally found a daybed for Averie on KSL classifieds and the bonus is that it was free! I can hardly wait to put it up!

• Helped in Easton's class today and realized there is no way I could ever be a school teacher. I firmly believe that unless I birth the child, I can only stand so much of them in a confined area. I wanted to kick one kid out of my center and was told by another girl that her ear wax tasted yucky. Makes me wonder what my child is saying when I’m not around. How do you filter a 5 year old?

• Proofread the business plan Landon has been working on for the last several months. I was so impressed by how good it was! Everyone that has reviewed or looked over it has been equally impressed. My hubby is so awesome and I’m so grateful for his ambition!

• Averie has been sick since Friday night, but I thought she was starting to get better. Last night she had a temp of almost 105. We took her in to the Doctor and he sent us to the hospital to go get chest x-rays. She was so good and just did exactly what they asked and didn’t even make a peep. She looked so small up there on that table. Thankfully the x-rays came back normal, but it was pretty scary for a little bit.

• I have been trying to find BYU flannel for almost a month now with no luck! I have literally called everyone in the phone book and NO one has it. Just found out today form a store in Sandy that they’re not manufacturing it right now and to wait until the end of the year. Thanks for the info, but that doesn’t help me a lot for the Christmas present I was planning.

• Now, I’m topping my day off with a bowl of Marshmallow Matey's. Sometimes being pregnant really isn’t too bad! (I mean sometimes in the truest sense of the word.) In the words of my sis-in-law, this baby might come out saying yo-ho, yo-ho as much as I eat of this stuff!

I agree that other people's kids are much harder to deal with! I could NEVER teach in elementary school. My sister teaches preschool and loves it, and I think she's a little crazy in the head!

You may have a little pirate baby and I may have a little Cookie Crisp. Treat cereal is the best at the end of a long day being pregnant!

You make me laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed this post. I don't even want to THINK of all the things that probably come out of Annabelle's mouth when I am not around. I can't even imagine. And marshmallow matey's are bomb digity. Not to mention, if your kid DID come out saying that, it would be on the news for sure. Then you would probably get free Matey's for life. How awesome would that be?! Just sayin'...

Okay I love reading your blog, and I love this mental picture of a child coming out signing a "pirate" tune. AND YES, all you parents would be mortified if they heard some of the things your kids say when they are at school - this coming from personal experience, being the listener... just be glad that you don't know what they say and therefore don't know what to be embarrassed about. :)

I'll never forget I was a helper during a field trip of 1st graders. A little boy picked up a package of Zig Zag papers off the ground and said, "Awesome, my dad can use these!" I just let it go, but made him throw them away. If you don't know what they are, good for you!
