Having a baby makes you reflect on the things that you treasure most in your life. You realize how many people around you help and lead you along life’s paths. I have tons of family (on both sides) that have helped us immensely the last couple weeks. However, there is one person that has helped us more than anyone else. That person is my wonderful Mother. I have to brag a little about my Mom. My Mom is seriously the best! After I had Easton and Averie, she came over and stayed at my house for three days. There are some people that this would bother. I am not one of them. For those of you who’s Moms don’t stay with you after a baby, it’s like having the hospital nursery come home with you, but even better. When my Mom comes after I have a baby, she stays and pretty much becomes the wife of the house. She cooks, cleans, takes care of Easton and most importantly, lets me sleep! She even got up with me at night and would take Averie when she was done eating and put her to sleep while I went to bed. There was one night that I would have only gotten 25 minutes of sleep (no exaggeration) had my Mom not been there to help out. Even Easton loved having her here. A couple days after she left, he came up to me and said. “Mom, can Grandma come live with us.” I tried to explain to him that Grandpa would be sad without her. He went on to tell me that Grandpa has Jerick (my nephew who’s living with them right now) and that he’d be just fine. About five minutes later, he came back over to me and said. “Mom, can I go live with Grandma?” I told him that I would miss him too much and asked him what I would do without him. He said to me “Daddy will be home in a little while.” He is too cute!
I can’t even put it into words how much I appreciate her help the last little while. She really has taught me how to be a Mom and I hope someday I can be just like her! I Love you Mom!!

aren't moms just the best. i was afraid when my mom left after brenten was born. I didn't know what I was going to do. I hope everything is going well.
I'm totally with you. But isn't of my mom coming to me, I came to her...seeing we live with my parents currently! I struggled with letting her take Carlee at night though because if I knew she was up dealing with my baby, I would worry about my mom and not sleep anyway, and what's the point of both of us not sleeping?! Anyway, I hope that made sense. Well, let me know when you are up to it and I would love to come see you!
I agree....Moms are beyond the best!!!!!
