Saunder's Springs

One of the fun things we did over Fall break was meet some friends for a picnic and then walk around the lake at Saunders Springs. It's a nature preserve that is seriously within a block of Walmart. (Crazy Kentuckians!) I'm glad we were able to find this amazing place. We had been here once before for Averie's Birthday, but got rained out We saw lots of turtles on top of logs floating on the lake and Easton and Averie were just dying to get their hands on one. Might have had something to do with the promise that I made them that if they found a turtle, we could take it home. (Can't say Mommy was too dissappointed.) As you can see by the pictures, which don't even do it justice, it's a beautiful place and we hope take Daddy with us and go back soon! (Again, excuse the cell phone pics!Hopefully my hubby is taking this as a hint for what I want for Christmas. But then again, I guess that would mean he would have to read my blog first. . . )
